An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst to join a private family office in north London and support in all aspects relating to investment analysis and management alongside some other legal/admin work.
Client Details
My client is a privately owned financial management company with international holdings across multiple asset classes. In the UK it owns a number of hotels in London, the Midlands and Wales, internationally it holds a stake in distribution/infrastructure ventures, Property and housing and other assets.
Description
Reporting into the CFO and Directors, a brief overview of some key Finance Analyst responsibilities will include the following:
- On-going financial analysis of various current investments (passive and joint ventures) which will include comparison on previous and current business plans and analysis of future value / potential
- Active role to be taken on structuring and funding of joint venture investments including liaising with joint venture partners and other external parties where required
- Liaising with Management to keep up to date on passive investments
- Financials models to be set-up and maintained where necessary
- Analysis of board pack information where provided in advance of board meetings
- Regular presentations to the Board and CFO to update them on the various investments
- Analysis of new investment opportunities that come in, as well as new projects within the existing scope of business
- Take an active role in new projects and initiatives that the business is moving forward with.
- Take the lead on day-to-day banking and legal requirements
- Regular review of company insurance matters
- Maintaining company records
- Review of legal docs on an ad hoc basis
Profile
The successful Finance Analyst will have the following:
- A bachelor's degree or higher
- CFA or ACA preferable
- Relevant financial and legal experience (Banking / Consultancy / Other)
- Ability to analyse a wide range of opportunities and existing businesses and put forward well informed opinions and views
- Ability to project manage on new initiatives the company moves forward with
- Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying and to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
