Our client is a small Family run highly successful Property Investment and Development Company in North London / Hertfordshire - a very friendly team, with a long track record in all aspects of commercial and residential property and joint ventures.
Well-funded and highly profitable, the company is seeking an experienced Accountant (qualified or qualified by experience) to manage all aspects of its finance function. Relevant Property experience is key. The role will include:-
- Manage various statutory entities, JVs and SPVs with intercompany transactions
- Preparation of cash flows, plans and forecasts for funding requirements
- Regular reporting on bank positions with regular cash projections
- Manage cash calls / drawdowns from joint ventures
- Preparation of regular management accounts
- Management of all VAT complexities with regards to property companies
- All bookkeeping and day to day accounting for the group
- Assessment of current Sage Line 50 with a view to upgrading to Xero
- Regular reconciliation of managing agent's statements
- Issue regular rent demands and manage collection of debt
This is a hands-on role, yet it will be important to add value and contribute management information to decision making. The role is a steady stable role in a friendly environment, suitable for a computer literate accountant who has been a Management Accountant, Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Finance Director in a property investment and/or development company. Qualified by experience will be considered or a qualified ACCA / ACMA/ CIMA/ ACA qualification will be useful. A generous base salary is on offer with the ability to progress as you prove yourself.
