Our client is a globally recognised business in central London that is undergoing massive change and growth. They are looking for a business partner to provide commercial support to the VP Finance to help drive the growth and support the commercial teams.

Specifically, you will:

  • Support the regional commercial teams in delivery of their revenue targets in order to meet both the internal and external expectations on growth, partnering with the Head of Business Development, Relationship Management and General Manager
  • Track, report and forecast sales and work closely with the sales teams to ensure delivery of plan
  • Identify opportunities for incremental growth and build action plans to deliver alongside the commercial teams
  • Be the point of contact on income drivers and variances and also work closely with Pricing and Sales teams to ensure alignment of performance and development of pipeline

You will be responsible for:

  • Net Revenue and Profit delivery for regions and ensuring that the pipeline is robust enough for next year’s growth expectations
  • Ensure business leaders are equipped with regular, insightful reporting and planning tools to support decision making and course correction where necessary
  • Deliver recommendations to Sales leaders that drive Net Revenue growth and/or protect downside impact
  • Further ensure MI is fit for purpose for reporting and aligned across key users and stakeholders
  • Drive the budgeting and monthly forecasting cycles challenging the commercial leadership on their assumptions and ensure these are understood and agreed by senior stakeholders
  • Review monthly financial performance against prior year, budget and forecast, understand trends and identify risks and opportunities
  • Lead quarterly commission cycles for both teams to ensure accurate compensation against recorded performance. Be required to have tenacity to challenge and defend against exceptions outside of plan rules
  • Build strong working relationships with senior commercial management in order to ensure the business units business plans are delivered and longer term growth aspirations are within reach
  • Work alongside Pricing and Sales teams to ensure linkage to bids, pipeline progression, consistency of messaging on deal size and timing
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, and drive through change in order to reduce inefficiencies within the business

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Demonstrable track record of commercial delivery across senior stakeholders, in particular working with sales and pricing teams
  • Experience of working in global, listed businesses or equivalent
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • A driven, entrepreneurial self-starter keen to challenge convention and drive change
