Ignata Finance are exclusively working with a leading business located in Crawley for the recruitment of a Group Accountant. This role would suit individuals seeking to make their first move from practice into industry. This is a technical role which will expose you to group accounting/consolidations, mergers and acquisitions and complex financial reporting.
Due to the nature of the role you will ideally match the following:
- ACCA or ACA qualified (essential)
- Experience of reporting under IFRS (essential)
- Previously experience of working within a group function
- Previous experience of auditing blue-chip/Plc businesses
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the production of year end statutory accounts under IFRS
- Work with heads of departments to ensure reporting deadlines are adhered to
- Preparation of the groups consolidated accounts
- Assist with year end audit process
- Take a lead in any technical accounting projects
- Assist with M&A projects/reporting
- Take a lead role maintaining and improving internal controls
- Ensure systems are maintained
