A high-growth FMCG business is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function and support the Managing Director. This entrepreneurial SME is an established consumer brand, supplying global corporations with high-end products. This is an autonomous commercial role & involves working closely with senior management.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, responsibilities include:
- Ownership of finance function, ensuring completion of all financial reporting.
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Presentation of Board Pack
- Maintenance of client contracts.
- Management of cash flow/ budgeting and quarterly forecasting
- Business partnering with Sales & Marketing
- Liaising with external auditors
- Managing payroll and company pension scheme.
- Review of credit control and escalation where necessary.
- Quarterly VAT calculation and submission to HMRC.
The ideal candidate will be an ambitious Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) who is ‘hands on’, enjoys autonomy and has the gravitas to liaise with senior management across the business.
Previous industry experience of FMCG / wholesale will be an advantage.
