Interim Financial Controller, TV Production Company, Fixed Term Contract, London, Immediate start, up to £50,000 – £55,000 pro rata or equivalent day rate - £250 - £270 Per Day
Your new company:
An established and successful TV Production company & studio is looking for an experienced, qualified Financial Controller to join their team initially for 3-6 month on contract/temp only or contract to perm basis.
Reporting in to the FD you will be responsible for the smooth running of the day to day finance function including managing a qualified Management Accountant, Finance Assistant and Analyst as well as working closely with the commercial team.
Main responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the production of the monthly management accounts (GAAP), with analysis and commentary for budget holders.
- Supporting the production units for both TV and commercial productions with finance processes, production accounting, project cost reporting.
- Developing new systems and reporting packs that reflect the growing activities including Management Accounts, Budget holder reporting and Commercial Cost Reporting.
- Cash Management/cash forecasting reviewing payment runs, controls and cash tracking.
- Liaising with the centralised transactional finance function
- Implementing & streamline new systems, processes and procedures
- Mentoring and supporting junior members of staff; including hiring, motivating and guiding new and existing finance
- Assisting with the annual audit
What you will need to succeed:
You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent) with 5+ years financial management experience including management accounts, reporting, controls, Audit and systems.
Ideally you will have a background working in a media or agency business with experience working with a parent company and some project cost reporting knowledge.
The role will need a pro-active self-starter, be highly organised and structured with strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work in a dynamic and fast paced media business.
