I am currently recruiting for a Data Analyst to join an award winning business in Chester. Joining a large, dynamic team you will play a key role in the business’ pricing strategy and execution. Acting as a key control on the pricing of new products through regular report and analysis you will work closely with the commercial, marketing and revenue management teams to optimise pricing.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Use PRISM to make daily price changes to maximise revenue
  • Forecast sales and revenue targets
  • Deliver daily, weekly and monthly revenue management reports
  • Support process and procedure delivery in revenue management
  • Engage and influence other areas of the business to drive revenue
  • Weekly team meetings providing insight into findings either regional or seasonal based
  • Locate and maximise on all possibly opportunities and minimise any risks
  • Driving innovation through new initiatives
  • Partnering a department/team within the business to maximise relationship opportunities
  • Integration of relevant acquisitions into daily processes including pre acquisition review
  • Create extra reports whether for data analysis or reporting on performance.  It is a key requirement of the role to be able to analyse data and use it to make recommendations which will directly affect EBITDA

 

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Good numeracy and data interpretation skills
  • Understanding of factors affecting price levels
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong Commercial awareness (ideally within the holiday lettings or travel and tourism industry)
  • Understanding of browser based IT systems
  • Strong Experience of using MS Office suite (Excel etc)
  • Able to work in a target driven sales environment
  • Pricing background
  • SQL experience
  • Data analysis and data interrogation experience
  • Understanding of demand elasticity and revenue management
  • Experience of contract and commercial terms negotiation
  • Ability to liaise with and provide feedback to a field based regional manager team
  • Experience of working within the travel and tourism industry and/or property sectors (e.g. estate agency or residential lettings)
