Financial Accountant

The SF Group are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant for a Successful Business in Nottingham. As the Financial Accountant you will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller. Key responsibilities for the role include:

- Responsible for the preperation of trial balance, with recs to the Management Accounts.
- Preperation of full statutory accounts
- Prepare monthly tax journals in accordance with FIN48
- Preparation of tax returns and Annual Tax packs submitted within statutory deadlines
- Assist in preparing and submitting the monthly Intrasat, CIS Returns and and EC Sales
- Preparation and submission of consolidated VAT returns and income Tax Payments
- Prepare Biannual FIN47 calculation for entities within UK & Ireland Finance Group
- Liaise with External Tax Advisors, HRMC and other stakeholders within the business to ensure legislative changes are reflected in the process
- Participate in training sessions around tax and technical accounting

You will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with experience of Corporation Tax and VAT accounting. Excellent written and verbal skills are a must, as are Advanced Excel and Word. You will be a well organised individual, capable of meeting demanding deadlines. Experience of Sarbanes-Oxley/Internal Controls/COSO and US GAAP and/or FRS102 is also required. Prior experience as external auditor including statutory accounts and internal controls testing and corporate tax is desirable.
