Interim Corporate Controller

Our client is a global institutional Real Estate investor/manager and one of the world’s leading real asset investment managers.  Due to a restructure of the corporate finance team, they are now looking for an Interim Corporate Controller to join on a 12 months FTC.  The role will sit within the UK Corporate Accounting team, with a focus on the global investment business and will report to the COO / CFO.  This position will be primarily focused on FP&A work.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and oversight for the monthly accounting reporting for two key business segments, working alongside the Chief Accountant to provide input and review for variance analysis commentary.
• Work with Global finance team based in US to drive improvements in quality of forecasting analysis.
• Responsible for preparation of quarterly forecasts for one of the key business segments with over £20b AUM
• Detailed revenue calculations, review and update forecast staff costs and other expenses
• Liaising with portfolio managers
• Update capital raise projections
• Provide variance analysis and commentary on key findings
• Preparation of the quarterly forecast presentation pack and presentation as required
• Responsible for preparation of annual budget and 5-year plan (similar process to quarterly forecasts)
• Assist in preparation/review of financial statements for entities within the Group (UK, Lux and Dutch) as required

Candidate profile:

• Qualified accountant with a minimum of 4 years PQE
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills with strong organisational and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong Excel skills and technology skills including IBM Cognos TM1 system and Peoplesoft
• Exposure to Hyperion Financial Management desirable
