Your new role
To create and develop a World Class, high quality and professional business partnering function to support quality and capability of company decision making. Responsibilities include:
- Lead the Management Accounting function - Develop a clear cost centre structure to deliver accountability
- Develop direct report to be capable successor
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting
- Ensure Cost Centre Managers are fully integrated into budgeting and reporting process with ownership of financial performance of their business areas
- Strategic & Scenario Planning
- Provide commercial support to the business as required - Identify potential areas of efficiency gains to the business and be an effective sparring partner to cost centre
- Costing Analysis - Work with Technical Director & Production Director to design and implement costing processes and tools to support development decision making
- Support company review of ERP system – Develop existing system and recommend/support the implementation of new ERP system
- Capex & Project Accounting
- Accounting and Audit
What you'll need to succeed
- CCAB Qualified
- 5-10 years post qualified management accounting experience in high tech engineering environment
- Experience of building high performance teams and of providing finance training to non-finance staff
- Experience of implementing and developing ERP and analysis systems
- Highly developed understanding of the relevance and effectiveness of budgeting and forecasting
- Ability to negotiate, influence, persuade and communicate effectively
- Undertakes key tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate information effectively
- Ability to coach, motivate and facilitate the development of team members to improve performance and meet demanding targets
- Expert in use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
- Uses problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritising own work and the work of the team in an organised and accurate manner within tight deadlines, keeping calm and focused
