Your new role
Lead the Financial Accounting & Taxation, developing a high performing general accounting function
- Manage general accounting and coach and mentor the General Accounting Supervisor
- Financial Accounting
- Taxation - Be the point of contact for the business, managing all aspects of taxation and ensuring effective tax planning is in place to compliantly optimise tax position.
- Manage the month end closing process, ensuring all balance sheet accounts reconciled
- Manage the annual audit process
- Support the company reviews of the ERP system
- Fixed asset accounting
- Ensure the company maintains the appropriate insurance coverage and policies
- Cash flow & FX - Develop cash flow reporting tools and create and implement FX strategy
- Financial Controls - Ensure robust financial controls are in place across the whole organisation
What you'll need to succeed
- CCAB Qualified (probably ICAEW)
- Trained in a Top 20 Accounting firm
- 5 to 10 years post qualified experience in financial accounting with some exposure to international taxation regimes
- Experience of building high performance teams, providing coaching and mentoring to non-qualified staff
- Experience of implementing and developing highly efficient processes and systems
- Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills
- Uses problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritising own work and the work of the team in an organised and accurate manner within tight deadlines, keeping calm and focussed
- Expert in use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products
