Howarth Morris are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll & Pensions Analyst to join our client - a highly regarded, leading housing association based in the Merseyside area on an initial 12 month contract. Due to there being a focus on payroll and pensions over the next 12 months and bringing systems and processes up to date, this will be a high profiled role that will reward success with business wide recognition. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring process design and management is modern and compliant with legislation and regulations.
You will coordinate, manage and monitor workflow and queries through to resolution within agreed service levels and performance standards liaising with third party suppliers as necessary. Responsibilities will include:

  • Accountable for process design and workflow management across the end to end Payroll & Pensions service driving continuous improvement practices across the team
  • Responsible for coordinating and monitoring workflow and queries to deliver timely and accurate processing within agreed standards and customer service expectations.
  • Ability to design and deliver plans and reports to track progress against daily, cyclical, statutory activity ensuring compliance and quality standards are maintained.
  • Lead in the development of Audit & Compliance Frameworks, conducting and reporting adherence against agreed frameworks.
  • Lead and provide subject matter expertise on key HR & Payroll projects.
  • Supports with the training, development and coaching of wider payroll team members to deliver a customer focussed service that fits with customers and operational needs.
  • Thorough understanding and experience of end to end payroll cycle including Pension (AE assessment, contribution reconciliation and payment).
  • Accountable for processing and monitoring accurate data processing of all of the Group and Subsidiary Payrolls including payment and reconciliation of movements for the Riverside Pensioner Payroll.
  • Manage the production of year end returns, reconciliations of tax, NI etc. for all payrolls and P11D returns.

Applicants will either be CIPP qualified or be willing to work towards the qualification. You will have a proven track record of delivering payroll and pension services within a large organisation and will be up to date with current legislation, regulations and standards. Applicants will have experience of working on payroll/pension related systems and will possess strong MS Excel skills.
