Financial Controller

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a global engineering business in Chesterfield that has various subsidiaries based across Europe, Africa and South America. They have grown considerably over the last few years and have won a number of large scale projects which will provide long term sustained business for them for the coming years. As part of this growth, they are looking to appoint a Financial Controller to be based at their head office location in Chesterfield and although not enforced, there would certainly be the opportunity to travel to the oversea subsidiaries if the successful person wanted to.

Reporting straight to the CFO, you will be responsible for producing financial information and forecasts for the group as well as being involved in a number of projects and new business set ups which would provide excellent skill set development opportunities.

Duties will include:-

* Working with the operational team to understand variances and provide analysis
* Providing weekly/monthly commentary
* Production of monthly management accounts for the various contracts
* Lead in the calculation of cost of sales & margins
* Prepare weekly Profit and Loss report
* Support in overhead costs preparation and reports
* Management of adhoc Project costs
* Dealing with tax issues
* Drive the importance of costing across the business to assist managers in making key strategic decisions
* Work alongside Central Finance Business Partners

Elevation Accountancy & Finance would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

* Ideally practice trained
* CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE will also be considered
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen commercial and business acumen with the ability to persuade at all levels of management
* Experience in management accounting and costing
* Highly numerate
* Dynamic and enthusiastic in approach
