A highly recognised and renown client based in Guildford, Surrey are looking to appoint a Payroll Manager to facilitate a fixed term contract for one year.
Payroll Manager - About The Role
Within this position you will be taking the lead in the payroll function for this client, whilst the current incumbent is deployed internally on a major project. This position will require you to lead and manage the team of which there are 6 people. This position will focus on the end to end payroll function incorporating employments taxes, compliance, statutory reporting and benefit management.
You will ensure timely production of the monthly payroll for all legal entities that fall within the group. You will be the subject matter expert and therefore provide advice across the business in relation to Income Tax, National Insurance Contributions, SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP.
This will be a vary varied payroll position and joining this client through a positive period of growth and therefore change.
The successful Payroll Manager will have:
A demonstrative background within Payroll both from an operational perspective – you will underpin the foundation to this payroll team. Therefore, you should be able to comfortably demonstrate your leadership skills and background.
- Payroll legislation knowledge
- Experience of developing and implementing payroll procedures
- Advanced Excel
- Background within a large and complex organisation
