Finance Director

This is a great opportunity to join a respected charity as their new Finance Director.

Finance Director - About the Role

• You will be responsible for leading a small finance team in delivering the charity’s overall business objectives and finance strategy. You will be an ambassador for the charity and be able to deputise for the Chief Executive as required.
• This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work either full-time or part-time.
• The basic Finance Director role is for 3 days per week, should the preferred candidate wish to work full-time then the remaining two days will utilise your skills across a variety of projects within the charity.

As the Finance Director you will: 

• You will be accountable for all aspects of the finance function including; reporting, identifying financial risks, ensuring effective cash management and cash flow forecasting.
• Lead the audit, budgeting & forecasting, income analysis, cost controls and pricing practices across the organisation.

The successful Finance Director will be:

• A qualified accountant, ideally ACA, CA OR ACCA.
• Have previous experience of working within a charity and an understanding of SORP.
• Have previous experience of acting as the No1 within a finance function.
• Be able to demonstrate strong leadership & management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience of working with Sage.
