Head of Capital Management needed for household brand in Berkshire!
£90,000 - £100,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast changing, well known business in Berkshire. The Head of Capital Management will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the capital delivery programme. Working into the Group Financial Controller with an indirect reporting line into the Executive in charge of Capital Delivery for the business.
To successfully deliver in this high profile role, you will need to have:
- University degree.
- Qualified accountant (preferably Big4 trained)
- 7+ yrs PQE or equivalent
- Considerable leadership experience in a finance function supporting delivery of >£100m pa sized capital programmes - ideally experience as a Financial Controller / Senior Finance Manager
- Strong financial discipline with attention to detail and very experienced in providing financial support to complex programmes at different stages of delivery
- Matrix management experience - influencing Leadership teams with strong relationship required with Head of PMO
- Industry experience in Utilities, Telco or Energy would be preferred.
- Significant communications experience - presenting financial analysis / budgets / forecasts to Company Executive members
A little more information about the role includes:
- Performance - Work with the Executive in charge of Capital Delivery and their leadership team to formulate and deliver plans for all aspects of financial performance. Actively engaged with each of the Capital Delivery leadership supporting achievement of financial hurdles / targets across the programme portfolio. Regularly influencing and presenting to Executives on financial matters including performance, financial plans and project specific financial matters.
- Governance - Ensure investment decisions, funding releases, financial statements and reports produced by the Finance function aligns with Corporate processes and supports business performance.
- People - Own and manage the relationship with colleagues across Capital Delivery and within Finance to support the achievement of business objectives and ensure the adherence to agreed process and procedures. Promote communication and efficient work practices across all areas of the finance function.
- Finance discipline - Ensure all financial transacting matters and related financial control measures (e. reconciliations, journals) are executed effectively and in line with Corporate processes. Contribute to Finance functional initiatives.
