Accountant

Vitae are proud to be working exclusively with a leading global business to source an ambitious Management Accountant to join their team. This role will be based at the company Head Office in Hertfordshire and will involve ensuring the general accounting processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Key responsibilities:
-Ensuring the general accounting processes which are performed both internally and externally are completed timely and accurately for European operations and are Sarbanes Oxley compliant.
-Make sure the month end books are reviewed with complete, accurate and detailed analysis.
-Ability to utilise SAP to extract raw data when working on various projects.
-Ensuring month end reconciliations are completed timely and accurately; reconciling items are appropriately investigated and actioned.
-In addition this role includes a high proportion of project work to solve and fix control issues as they arise
-Working with off-shore outsource provider and within a shared service environment

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Part-Qualified Accountant with knowledge of general accounting processes within a large business. Previous experience using SAP will be essential and Intermediate Excel will also be expected (Pivot-Tables / V-Lookups).

Their preference would be for a candidate who is currently studying their CIMA / ACCA exams and full study support will be provided. The ability to speak another European Language would also be preferred but is not essential.
