Assistant Accountant

My client, a market-leading FMCG company based in Central London, is seeking an outgoing Assistant Accountant who can speak fluent French to join their accounting team.

The role's main responsibilities include:
- Year-end audit management
- Bank reconciliations
- Ensuring matches between the stock inventory and the accounting system
- VAT submission
- Managing the month-end process (including preparing journals and balance sheet reconciliations)

The successful candidate will be liaising with suppliers in France, and the company's French office. Ideally, you will be working towards an accounting qualification. Knowledge and experience using SAP will be advantageous, but not essential, while an eagerness to learn is also important. This is a vibrant office environment where everybody gets to know each other, and the client is looking for a sociable person to fit in with the atmosphere they have already created.
