Finance Business Partner - £45,000 + car allowance

Astute Financial Recruitment is working in partnership with a hugely successful and profitable business in Derby seeking a new Finance Business Partner.

Our client is one of the leading names in their field of expertise and has enjoyed an exceptional level of growth over the past few years. The business has solid pipeline with further plans to grow and following a recent acquisition the new Finance Business Partner will join the head office finance team, supporting the Finance Director, Regional Director and Regional Business Unit Leads.

Finance Business Partner – the role:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, reconciliations and reporting cycle, challenging where appropriate.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and planning cycle for the business unit.
• Manage the KPI reporting, obtaining supporting commentary from the business unit leads.
• Assist in the delivery and improvement of financial and commercial strategy through strategic planning and the delivery of key projects.
• Manage and build strong internal relationships by visiting regional offices.
• Provide detailed commentary on management initiatives and business issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Pro-actively investigate variances to budget/forecasts in expected commercial performance.
• Evaluating profitability of business unit ensuring financial returns are maximised.
• Contribute to system and process improvements as the business grows.

Finance Business Partner – your ideal background:

• Qualified CIMA or ACCA (or equivalent)
• Strong financial systems knowledge including advanced Excel skills
• Have previously worked in a Finance Business Partner role or relevant commercial Management Accountant position
• The ability to foster good relationships with internal customers and be an excellent team player.
