Currently recruiting an Interim Commercial Controller (FP&A) for a leading multi-national manufacturer in South Yorkshire. This role is needed to bridge the gap between the current incumbent leaving and a new permanent candidate being appointed. The role is based at their UK head office and will be working closely with the Sales, Ops and HR teams.
The Commercial Controller will be reporting directly into the UK FD and manage a small team of four qualified accountants. The main focus of this role will be aligning structures, processes and accountabilities to effectively partner and challenge senior business leaders in the optimisation of business performance.
Key Accountabilities include:-
- Provide leadership and direction to the team ensuring that they are engaged, focused, developed and delivering their potential
- Ensure the right structures, governance and measures are in place to manage, challenge and optimise business performance
- Partner with relevant senior business leaders with the provision of high quality, timely and insightful information
- Lead the process for budgets and forecasts in line with business strategy and targets in order to contribute to appropriate planning, organisation and results
- Act as guardian of integrity and interface for the business on Lean initiatives
- Provide support to key projects when called upon to enable data to be understood, insight gleaned and better solution delivered
- Activity Timeframes
The successful candidate must a qualified accountant with extensive FMCG or Retail exposure (Site or HO). It is essential that you have significant experience working closely with and influencing senior stakeholders across various teams such as Sales and Operations. Excellent team management and communication skills is a must.
