Management Accountant

A diverse accountancy firm with multiple offices across the UK are seeking a qualified management accountant to join their Exeter offices on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities of your new role

 As management accountant you will be responsible for:

• Managing a portfolio of sole trade, partnership, limited company and personal tax clients;
• Identifying and managing planning opportunities and general business support for clients;
• Providing staff supervision and training;
• Building efficient relationships with clients via various forms of communication including face to-face meetings;
• Dealing with HMRC correspondence and enquiries;
• Strategic development – This will involve liaising with the partners to look at ways in which the firm can achieve further growth; and
• Managing workflow and ensuring that all HMRC and Companies House filing deadlines are met.

Requirements: skills, experience and qualifications

The successful management accountant must be able to demonstrate:

• Full ACA /ACCA qualification;
• 3+ years of PQE working in a busy and challenging accountancy practice;
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effectively build and maintain relationships both internally and externally

Salary and progression

The firm is offering £35,000 - £40,000 per annum to the successful management accountant plus an excellent work/life balance. There will be ample opportunity for career progression within this national firm.
