A highly professional, ambitious and modern firm of accountants are looking for a graduate accountant to join their Honiton, East Devon head office. Joining their welcoming and sociable team, the NQ accountant will be offered a permanent, full-time position.

With big and exciting plans, this would suit a newly qualified accountant who is looking to become an integral part of a very focused and driven unit.

Responsibilities of your new role

As the new graduate accountant at this firm you will enjoy a varied role with primary areas of responsibility including:

• Preparation of accounts limited company accounts;
• Corporation Tax returns;
• Statutory audit;
• Personal tax; and
• Providing supervision and mentoring to more junior members of the team studying towards AAT, ACCA or ACA qualifications.

Requirements

To be considered for this accounting role, you’ll need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

• Newly qualified ACA or ACCA;
• Several years of recent practice experience including audit;
• Sound understanding of statutory accounts and relevant standards;
• Able to coach, supervise and mentor more junior members of staff (not essential);
• Able to liaise professionally with clients and their advisors; and
• Able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
