Management Accountant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced management accountant (or assistant management accountant) to join an accountancy practice based in Newton Abbot, Devon. This management accountant role is offered on a full-time and permanent basis.

Responsibilities of your new role

As management accountant you will be responsible for:

• Reviewing clients;
• Giving tax advice;
• Meeting clients and building strong relationships with them;
• Ensuring files are correct prior to meetings and that all information has been handed over to the partner;
• Undertaking ad-hoc specialist work as required;
• Managing junior staff and delegating work; and
• Involvement in audit.

Required skills, experience and qualifications

This management accountant role requires an individual who can demonstrate:

• Dedication and full focus on the role;
• A methodical approach is required;
• Fully qualified with 5+ years of PQE in practice;
• Knowledge equivalent to that of a partner;
• Ability to think 2-3 steps ahead of the partner;
• Good organisational skills; and
• Ability to perform under pressure and work to tight deadlines.

Salary

If successful in this management accountant role you’ll be offered £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on your experience.
