Management Accountant

A fast moving, exciting and energetic company are seeking a commercially minded, part-qualified Management Accountant to join them in Exeter on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities of your new role

As management accountant you will play a hugely instrumental role in helping the finance department make decisions and improve business performance. Your primary duties will include:

• Completing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and providing information to the finance and wider senior management team;
• Assisting with cost centre budgets and monthly monitoring;
• Reporting including detailed analysis on key variances;
• Preparing annual budgets and monthly cost centre managers reports;
• Preparing year end schedules and supporting documentation and the year end audit file.

Required skills, experience and qualifications

The team are looking to hear from management accountant candidates who can demonstrate:

• Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA);
• Minimum experience of 2-3 years within an accounting department;
• Working knowledge and experience of MS office, accounting software and databases;
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the accounting principles, practices, standards and laws & regulations;
• Proficiency in analysing and manipulating large amounts of data; and
• Strong Excel and modelling skills.

Salary

The successful management accountant will be offered £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.
