Accounts Payable Clerk

Marks Sattin are pleased to be working in partnership with one of the UK's fastest growing energy providers, that are looking to expand their financial team to support the rapid growth of the business. Currently seeking an articulate, bright and driven individual as part of their Accounts Payable, this is an exciting opportunity for individuals to take their first steps in to the financial world, but also develop through the business quickly.

My client is seeking an intelligent, driven and personable character to join their finance team, with the view of supporting the individuals' progression and growth, ideally looking for someone that can develop in to a management / more senior role within a year / 18 months.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Maintenance of the company purchase ledger
• Performing reconciliations to ensure account statements are current and presented as required
• Process high volumes of invoices, approx. 250 per week
• Undertake the coding of invoices
• Preparation of bills, invoices and bank deposits
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data
• Reconcile the accounts ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Verify discrepancies by and resolve customers billing issues
