Head of Finance

An Exeter charity is looking to appoint a Head of Finance to work closely with the CEO and the Executive Management Team to undertake all aspects of financial planning and management, including reporting and development of internal controls and policies. The successful applicant will work full-time on a permanent contract and awarded a salary of up to £60,000 per year.

Responsibilities of your new role

Your primary duties as the Head of Finance will include:

• Provision of rolling financial forecasts including cashflow and balance sheet;
• Annual trading and capex budgets and longer-term projections;
• Monthly management accounts and KPI reports;
• Management and development of Finance Team;
• Oversee ICT function and systems through the IT Manager;
• Maintenance of Finance & IT Risk Register and Disaster Recovery Plan, GDPR compliance records, PCI compliance & Cyber accreditation

Requirements: qualifications, skills and experience

The new Head of Finance will successfully demonstrate:

• Qualified Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent);
• Ability to demonstrate a business focus and commercially minded approach;
• Ability to lead a team of financial professionals and colleagues;
• Strong Excel and IT systems skills;
• Full driving license & own transport;
• Minimum 3 years in senior finance role; and
• Knowledge and experience of the non-profit/community benefit society sector and accounting for a charity is preferred.
