CRP specialises in the design, development and supply of belt drive solutions supporting dealers, distributors and OEMs with drive design services, aftermarket solutions and a full industrial drive system supply. With a product portfolio that includes, but it is not limited to over 600,000 SKUs across v-belts, timing belts, banded belts, ribbed belts, CVT belts, pulleys, bushings and aftermarket solutions available for the automotive, agriculture, industrial, outdoor power equipment, powersports and transport refrigeration markets.

Job Purpose

The overarching role of the Finance Manager is to optimise the financial and operational performance of the business. The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the finance function of our business, in addition to leading the continual improvement of operational systems and key development of suppliers and service providers.

As the Finance Manager, you will set targets, plan budgets, control operational expenditure, and recruit, train and inspire your team. You will manage building a highly engaged team that are focused on improving customer and supplier partnerships

Accountability:

  • Financial and Management reporting:
  • Be personally accountable for producing timely and accurate monthly management accountants.
  • Presentation of management accounts and rolling forecasts to the Directors and Management team
  • Production of the annual Budget and targets
  • Timely compliance with all statutory accounting obligations (including, VAT, TAX) and accepted best practice
  • Control and Operations:
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of operational finance support including AP, AR and credit control.
  • Fully responsible for continual improvement of the business supports services, systems and procedures
  • Ensure effective cashflow management
  • Line management and relationships:
  • Co-ordination of people (including direct line management of bookkeeper), resources and training schedules
  • Be personally responsible for the management and improvement of relationships with third party suppliers, including Banks, Logistics Providers, and HR
  • Strategic:
  • Establish business goals, define and deliver monthly KPI reporting and improvement analysis
  • Provide Financial insight, analysis and challenge management team on business strategy and decision-making
  • Support the MD with strategic Acquisition plans and Due Diligence support

Specific Measures of Success

  • Timely and accurate financial reporting to the board
  • Evolution of KPI’s and improvements shown
  • Working Capital improvements
  • Timely production of and improvement of operating cash flow
  • Supplier performance(improvements)
  • Improvement of 3rd party Logistics performance

Criteria:

  • Be able to demonstrate strong technical skills and commercial experience in Finance;
  • A degree in Accounting, qualified or actively studying towards a professionally recognised qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)

Preferred Criteria:

  • Advanced capability of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of Sage Line 50 Software;
  • Demonstrate experience in organisational improvement techniques i.e. Lean Six Sigma;
  • Experience of managing relationships with important third-party service providers;
  • Be able to build and manage small but high-performing teams of up to 5 people.
