Financial Accountant

A highly profitable and growing business embedded within a FTSE listed group are looking to recruit a Group Financial Accountant to join their successful Northampton based team. This is an exciting role with excellent progression prospects.

The Role

The primary focus of this role is to support the financial accounting team in preparing all statutory reporting and maintaining financial control within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing end of year statutory accounts

• Producing financial statements alongside IFRS, liaising with external auditors/ regulators

• Leading the balance sheet control process across the Group and review team's balance sheet reconciliations

• Improving the quality of the control accounts and taking ownership of intercompany accounts

• Taking responsibility for implementing process changes to streamline procedures

• P&L reporting and regular financial performance reporting

• Working with senior management on ad-hoc projects

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required

• Fully qualified chartered accountant (ACA or ACCA)
• Excellent academic background
• Experience and knowledge of stat accounting, internal controls and balance sheet reconciliations is highly beneficial

Salary and Contract

• £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
• Permanent, full time contract
