Based in West Lancashire this established Practice are based on the outskirts of Wigan. A successful 4 partner Practice they have recently taken on a portfolio of Clients in the North West and are seeking an accountant to join the team. A role which will provide exposure to a varied set of businesses and sole traders your portfolio will be interesting and varied. With a solid local reputation the business are established and looking to expand further in the future.

Your New Job

As Practice Accountant you shall provide professional financial advice to fee-paying clients who span private individuals, small businesses and medium to large business. You shall have the opportunity to play a key role in the practice and have exposure to review data and making recommendations based on your experience. As a Practice Accountant you shall prepare monthly/year end accounting across varied starting points, from incomplete records to complete sets of ledgers within finance systems such as Sage/Quikbooks. You shall also provide an element of financial reporting, help Clients with accounting systems and processes and advise on taxation where appropriate. Completing TAX return for personal, corporations and basic tax amendments you shall work with a set of varied Clients with different accounting requirements.

Your Experience & Our Requirements 

With experience in a similar role you may be Qualified by Experience or a Qualified Accountant who has operated in a role to reflect the above, An ability to process payroll would be an advantage however you shall have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook as well as accounting and accounts preparation software. You shall have good communication skills and be able to manage your own busy work-load.
