An exciting opportunity has arisen within a start-up Independent Power Producer (IPP) focused on meeting the growing demand for balancing services in the UK electricity market power company. They have just received substantial Private Equity investment in order to build an estimated 20 sites across the UK within the next 15 months.
The Role:
- Support the business in providing accurate, timely, and meaningful financial models for a range of uses, currently envisaged to include acquisitions, in-housing developments and financing/valuation.
- Producing models from scratch to predict likely performance of assets.
- Evaluate internal projects proposed for construction suitable for board/shareholder decision making.
- Ensure that 3rd party (e.g. external finance providers) models are maintained, up to date, and fulfil all relevant covenant obligations. Monitor available headroom highlighting any upcoming risks.
- Support the wider commercial finance team in developing and enhancing business development framework with objective of driving consistency and excellent support across the business.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external partners, e.g. sales, finance, banks, and board of directors.
- Perform ad-hoc accountancy or analysis as required.
You will provide excellent financial, commercial and analytical support to this growing and exciting business. You will be a key finance business partner to the business responsible for a range of banking modelling.
The Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified is desired but part-qualified/QBE will be considered.
- Must have experience of building banking models from scratch.
- SQL experience is desired but not essential.
- Proven success in a business partnering finance role in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to analyse data to solve business problems and provide strong business insight.
