Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for an Interim Financial Controller for a global distribution business in Leeds.
This is an interim support whilst a number two finance head is added to the Business. You will work closely with the Finance Director, whilst handing over with the current incumbent and executive team and will be the primary Accounting lead for the UK during the transition period. There are various projects to be taken up throughout the temporary assignment with a clear focus still to not lose any technical accounting expertise.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
-Leading the finance control team of 5
-Managing the relationship with the outsourced GL functions
-Monthly closing and analysis
-Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of the period's financial reporting (monthly, quarterly and year-end)
-Delivery of half year and full year end audits (IFRS)
-Filing of UK statutory accounts (IFRS) for the company's legal entities (3 active legal entities)
-Managing key relationships with external stakeholders including Audit, Tax advisors and banking relationships
-Acting as key point of contact for corresponding international Group functions
-Submission of UK Group tax reporting, ensuring timely tax submissions, quarterly VAT returns
-Treasury and Cash flow management, including weekly forecasting and reporting to Group
-Forex Management / basic hedging activities such as forward contracts
-Balance Sheet Management
-Process and control improvement
-Review and challenging of overhead costs
-Seeking opportunities to generate additional value or achieve cost reductions on projects
-Ad-hoc projects
Skills & Qualifications:
-ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
-Experience of SAP preferred
-Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
-Experience working within a distribution or manufacturing business is highly desirable
-Project Accounting experience demonstrated on an interim basis is desired
£350-£400 a day depending on experience
