Programme Manager | Retail | Cheshire | £40-£45k | PRINCE 2 (or similar)
Axon Moore is working with a highly acquisitive, market leading, retail business based in Cheshire which is looking to strengthen its commercial team with the addition of a Programme Manager.
The business is part of an international group and is a significant player in the market. Recent acquisitions have put the client in a strong position to move forward and grow significantly in the near future.
Rather than traditional internal business partnering, this is a customer focused Programme Management role that supports teams across the business and leads projects focused on people, processes and ways of working.
The role sits within the senior leadership team and will be responsible for delivering change activity on time and on budget. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring accurate and timely communication to internal and external stakeholders, and the executive team in relation to change and business critical activity, tracking key milestones and progress to plans.

Duties Include
- Overseeing overall activity plan & project portfolio, monitoring and adapting as needed
- Defining key KPIs such as project scope, timelines, goals, and deliverables
- Creating project plans including the Business Case and maintaining project objectives
- Monitoring and reporting on project progress, problems, solutions and opportunities
- Managing resources, implementing and leading change when necessary to meet project outputs
- Developing and closely managing a Communication Plan for each project, ensuring key stakeholders are engaged and communicated with appropriately
Experience Required
- Demonstrable experience of running multiple simultaneous projects and project teams
- Working knowledge of retail or consumer-facing business models – ideally within an operations or finance leadership role.
- Experience in strategic planning, practical project management, risk management and change management
- Proficiency in project management software tools and advanced level Powerpoint, Excel etc
- Project Management Qualification e.g. PRINCE 2 (Practitioner) or similar
