Management Accountant

This is a 6-month contract for a Management Accountant to work for a private equity-backed software business. Currently operating as a software as a service (SaaS) business, they have exploited a gap in the market and are one of the leading software organisations in the UK. Currently operating 3 sites in the UK, this is set to double in 2019 through the recent investment from PE. To manage this growth, the finance team is set to expand its numbers with quality and driven individuals. You will be reporting directly to an experienced Financial Controller who has been with the company for several years who has previously led a software business successfully through a private equity exit.

The Role:

• Preparing monthly management accounts for subsidiaries.
• Preparing monthly consolidated P&L, balance sheets and cashflow.
• Preparing monthly rolling forecasts and budgets.
• Preparing monthly sales pipeline reporting pack for the Board.
• Preparing information required by auditors for year-end audits.
• Preparing IFRS compliant annual financial statements.
• Manage incoming purchase ledger invoices.
• Ensure accuracy of weekly payment runs.
• Oversee Credit control: review detailed aged debtors, liaise with the Sales/Credit Controller to chase overdue.

The Requirements:

• You must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified.
• The suitable candidate will have strong excel skills.
• Exposure working within software (SaaS) sector will be advantageous.
• Must be willing to be very hands on due to lots of change/projects within the business.
• Strong communication skills will be an advantage.
• Candidates must be available within 1 week.
