Finance Analyst

This is an autonomous and challenging role for an experienced Financial Analyst to join this leading global organisation.  Supporting the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for FP&A including P&L, balance sheet review, variance and cost analysis and project accounting. Proven experience of business partnering with the wider finance team and non-finance budget holders is essential and you will be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Advanced Excel is a must along with previous experience of ERP systems. Strong analytical and organisational skills are a must along with previous experience within financial forecasting, month-end close and ideally contract accounting.  Your role will include but not be limited to: 

• Production of budgets and forecasts, variance analysis and accounting for discrepancies
• Contract accounting to monitor performance and identify risks and opportunities
• Cost analysis and working closely with operations to drive down costs, including materials, overheads and labour
• Financial modelling to ensure greater visibility of performance
• Business partnering with central finance and budget holder across operations and commercial teams
• Analysis of new business proposals
• Assisting with internal and external audit requirements
• Ad hoc analysis as required
