We are currently recruiting for a part-qualified Management Accountant based in Chesterfield. It is an office-based role with occasional UK travel required to attend meetings. You will be based in the main open plan office with a diverse mix of colleagues from a range of departments making the atmosphere professional as well as friendly and relaxed.

Management Accountant Role Summary:

Working for the Business Controller, you will perform a range of accounting activities, including the completion of the Monthly Management accounts, Balance Sheet reconciliations, assisting in Budgets and Forecast and completion of Variance Analysis. An investigative problem solver you will prepare, record, analyse and report accounting transactions to ensure accounts are complete, accurate and compliant with accounting and company policies and principles. A good communicator with strong attention to detail and the ability to think outside of the box. A strong relationship builder with strong reporting skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines, you will provide financial support as and when required.

This is a new Management Accountant position, ideally suited to a self-motivated go-getter who is part qualified at AAT / Degree or equivalent level and has a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working within an accounting environment. The successful candidate should be looking to progress in their qualifications to CIMA/ACCA level.

Profile of the Management Accountant:

the Management Accountant will be part qualified at AAT/Degree or equivalent with relevant accountancy experience that compliments your academic studies. You have excellent Excel skills at advanced level and can use V-lookups and Pivots as a minimum.  You are highly analytical and able to follow procedure but also able to think outside of the box. You are self-motivated and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You work well on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
