The Management Accountant role:

This Management Accountant role supports the Head of Finance in providing a high quality service and building effective working relationships across the organisation.  The successful candidate will be able to use their specialist financial skills and expertise to provide support, advice and robust, but constructive, challenge to ensure the effective operation of LeO’s system of financial and budgetary control.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for day to day financial transaction processing, routine financial reporting and business partnering to budget holders and stakeholders, the production of the monthly finance and KPI pack with supporting commentary.

This post will assist with updating the quarterly financial forecasts, the production of annual budgets and provide information and support for external and internal audits of the function.

What we are looking for in our Management Accountant:

We are looking for someone who is able to support the Head of Finance to deliver an effective finance function and deputise in their absence.  The Management Accountant will have demonstrable experience in a similar role and have the ability develop effective working partnerships and offer challenge where necessary.   It is vital that you can work on your own initiative, problem solve and be able to complete work in a timely manner without prompting.

You will need to be able to work well within a team and be able to coach, develop and guide the existing finance team to enable them to use their skills effectively. 

We are looking for candidates that are qualified (AAT, CIMA, CIPFA, ACA or ACCA) either formally or by experience.
