Senior Finance Business Partner

£42,414 - £49,969 per annum

Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (DBTH) is one of Yorkshire’s leading acute trusts, serving a population of more than 420,000 across South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire and the surrounding areas.

Hosting three main hospital sites and several additional services, the Trust is one of only five Teaching Hospitals in Yorkshire and by the end of 2018 is projecting to have trained 25% of all medical students in the region, while they currently train 30% of all other healthcare professional students. Employing over 6,000 people, every member of staff contributes to patient care, and has a personal stake in their future successes and achievements.

We operate a number of sites and you will gain a sense of a large and expansive organisation; however it is very important that the Trust has a great sense of community and identity, with an accessible leadership team and a great sense that each and every member of the team can make a difference. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their Finance Department. This role is an outstanding opportunity to progress and gain experience within a forward thinking organisation.

As part of the Business Partnering team, you will provide key financial management support to a large and diverse Clinical Division (Medicine). The post holder will provide clinicians and managers with high quality financial management information to meet the needs of the Trust, enabling it to deliver value for money and achieve its challenging financial targets. This includes providing expert financial advice, budget management support, and playing a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of the Trust’s financial plan and Cost Improvement Programme.

We are looking for an individual with drive, ambition and a passion for excellence. The successful post-holder will be a qualified Accountant with at least two years post qualification experience. Ideally you will have previous NHS provider experience, and possess a desire to work within a progressive organisation. In addition you will have the ability to interpret and explain financial concepts and information to non-financial managers, and an ability to demonstrate initiative. Critical to the role is the ability to develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders, with the ability to challenge and influence others.

The post holder will also ensure processes are efficient, effective and consistent across all areas they are responsible for, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will be someone who pushes the boundaries, who wants to be part of a finance team which aims for innovation and excellence.
