The successful candidate will take the business on a journey. Its a growth business. You will be working for a PE backed exposure (you will help take a business from family owned to corporate entity) , and its ideal for someone who wants to develop and put controls in place. You definitely need to be up for a challenge and proactive. You will be working with a supportive but 'hands off' CFO. It's ideal for career development. Attention to detail and accuracy is important. Business culture is very inclusive.
Ideal experience will be within the in service sector. You will need to be an all-rounder that can cope with a variety of tasks and therefore someone who has had a senior role within an sizeable SME (probably £10m-£50m) is likely to fit that requirement. The business really needs someone who has demonstrated being proactive in their roles with the development of the management reporting function, liaising with non-financial staff etc.
Other experience/skill traits required:-
- interaction skills - the ability to liaise with and explain financials to non-finance
- strong analysis skills
- hands on
- proven experience of implementing controls/procedures
- happy with ownership
- people management/coaching experience
