Interim Financial Accountant

Currently recruiting a 3 month contract in Chesterfield for a leading service provider across the UK. This business is a true market leader in their field and they are looking for a contractor due to an imminent transition and integration project that will be taking place in 2019.

This role report to the senior CFO and the candidate need to be available within 2 weeks and ideally open to longer term opportunities as it may end up being a permanent role in the future. I have included a list of core responsibilities below:

• Process acquisition, disposal and depreciation accounting for all fixed assets
• Process income and expenses for all projects (including Capital Expenditure) and WIP
• Produce fixed asset and project reports
• Liaise extensively with engineers and project owners to provide process and financial guidance on capital projects
• Complete year end disclosures for both management and statutory reporting
• Support the budgeting/forecasting process with detailed submissions of capital and revenue expenditure
• Co-ordinate the annual investment property valuation exercise for the regions and ensure the financial statements are updated accordingly
• Calculate post investment appraisals for projects

The successful candidate could be qualified or QBE but it is essential that you have previous experience in financial reporting and ideally knowledge of fixed asset accounting. SAP ERP system experience would be a huge advantage, please apply for this immediately to be considered.
