A well-known Gas and Electricity company in Preston is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their rapidly expanding team.
The Role
The Credit Controller will join the already successful and established collections team, and take on the following responsibilities:
- Collect debts from a varied client portfolio
- Oversee live accounts
- Negotiate payment plans
- Reduce aged-debt across the board
- Liaise with Directors on all Credit Control matters
- Liaise with other departments and external debt collections agencies
- Prepare quarterly financial and debtor reports
Candidate Requirements
- Experience of working in a similar finance sector role
- Solid understanding of the duties listed above
- Good technical skills, including knowledge of Excel
- Able to communicate accurately and with authority with difficult individuals in an empathetic but firm manner
- A Professional finance qualification (CICM) is desirable but not essential
- Self motivated and highly organised
Salary, Contract and Benefits
- Up to £25,000 per annum (Competitive)
