Senior Regional Accountant

My client is a truly global organisation that require a Finance Individual to join and manage a growing team. Working within the organisation shared service centre, the successful candidate will lead a team to deliver monthly reporting packs. Also to support, analyse and drive process improvements to maximise efficiency while ensuring compliance targets are met and to support business units globally. Duties will include but not limited to: •Drive, coordinate and prioritise project critical issues to resolution, leveraging from contacts within the business.

•Lead and support SSC process improvement / development projects.
•Project manage and transition the standardised accounting functions into the SSC scope, including ICQ controls.
•Maintain strong internal controls across all SSC processes.
•Management and development of the team, recruitment and succession planning.
•Lead team and drive the month end reporting cycle.
•Provide support / advice to team and site finance teams on reporting issues including US GAAP compliance.
•Monitor Shared Service Centre (SSC) set of KPI’s for European sites to identify areas for concern / process improvements.
•Regular review of Balance Sheet Control reconciliations, investigating any reconciling items to clear in a timely manner or explain.
•Lead or assist with European finance projects as and when required. Candidate Requirements: • Qualified with relevant PQE
• Management of People (essential) including developing them
• Excellent Communication skills, ideally including working with Non-UK Nationals
• Previous experience of a large multi-national organisation
