Head of Finance

A household name in the TMT space have created a new ‘Head of’ position following a multi-billion round of M&A activity and looking for someone to own the Financial Controls/Policy/Risk across the Group as they continue to expand their product offering. Reporting to an outstanding Group FC, this is a broad remit in a new team that will see the successful candidate have an impact from day one and become a key point of contact for the Senior Leadership Team. Ideally you’ll have qualified in Big 4 and have between 3-7 years PQE gained in a complex business. Significant US GAAP/SOX experience highly desirable.

Some key responsibilities:

• Ensuring policy adherence across the group through advisory, monitoring of risk determined areas, policy manual review and challenge of existing treatment.
• Specifically ensuring capex policy adherence, through the review of:

• Direct project spend
• Capitalised labour % and related activities

• Monitoring the performance of controls– month, quarter and year end assessments and deficiencies plan.
• Risk assessment and design of controls – annual in scope SOX processes and wider review of what could wrong. Working closing with the compliance team on all SOX matters.
• Accounting transactions; ensuring that SOX controls are in place to mitigate risks and accounting treatment is consistent with policy.
