Our client is a construction company based in Skegness that specialises in housing design, development, construction and engineering.
They require a new Finance Manager to join their team.
Finance Manager Role Description
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance function of all companies in the Group. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring that the nominal ledger and chart of accounts are kept up to date
- Responsibility for ensuring that monthly balance sheet reconciliations are undertaken to a high standard
- Responsibility for ensuring that bank reconciliations are performed weekly
- Proactive and effective management of the sales ledger and purchase ledger to assist with the cash flows
- Banking
- Responsibility for ensuring the companies tax affairs are accurate, and up to date, this will include responsibility for the submission of VAT, RTI, CIS, P11d & P11D(b) returns to HMRC
- Processing of weekly and monthly payroll and ensuring that staff are paid on time
- Maintenance of the companies' fixed asset registers
- Preparation of monthly management information and comparisons to budget
- Delivery of financial information to the companies' accountants, and auditors
- Management of rental businesses, including:
- HR roles
- Company Secretarial roles
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required
Experience
- All round knowledge and experience in a similar role is required
- Experience with Sage, and Word, Excel, etc, and Windows
- Experience in a similar role / industry
- Team player and a can do attitude
