Systems Accountant

Our client based in South Manchester is looking for a Systems Accountant to join them in a brand new role within the Finance team.  Within the role you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing all operational and financial systems. Reviewing current systems with a view to improving the utilisation of existing functionality and proposing additional functionality where required, you will liaise with key stakeholders to ensure all systems are fit for purpose. Improving the automation of financial processes which increase efficiency, you will document systems, processes and procedures whilst providing training and technical support to the finance team.

They are looking for someone who has a professional accounting qualification, coupled with extensive experience in a similar role. With a strong understanding of financial processes and controls, and advanced Excel skills, you will have experience of proactively examining processes and seeking ways to improve, automate or otherwise extract efficiencies.

SAP experience is preferred but is not essential. What is important is that you have strong management accounting and analytical skills, and are able to work to tight deadlines. Experience in MIS implementation is also preferred.  This role comes with an excellent package of benefits.
