Reed Finance are currently supporting a prominent Swindon employer that actively promotes agile and flexible working to secure a technically sound Financial Accountant to take on the Financial Statements and Statutory Reporting for the group subsidiaries and compliance with Accounting Standards and Companies Act.

  • You will be the External auditor interface and query management;
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts in compliance with IFRS (FRS101) and UK company law.
  • Group reporting including preparation and submission of quarterly figures for inclusion into the group reports ensuring that local GAAP actuals are adjusted into IFRS.
  • Reconcile Group reporting system to management reporting system quarterly.
  • Liaise with Group for any changes in accounting standards.
  • Ensuring entries made within entity accounts are compliant with UK/IFRS and Companies Act
  • Ensuring that accounts are appropriately reconciled and free from material misstatement.
  • Preparing month end accruals

You must be a Qualified Accountant with CIMA, ACA or ACCA. Passed finalists and newly qualified with the right aptitude and experience will absolutely be considered.

  • A strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS is key, plus Financial Statements experience. Highly experienced in SAP
  • Advanced excel skills are required
  • Accounting experience ideally within a large Company/Group environment
  • Experience of dealing with complexity, keeping up to date with Commercial developments in a changing environment
  • Ability to present financial information using appropriate media to senior management
  • Ability to influence stakeholders
  • Must be organised and have the ability to balance requirements of multiple stakeholders
