Interim Regional Finance Director - £500 per day LTD - Manchester with Travel North West - Outsourcing - 6 Months

The Role
My blue-chip outsourcing client is looking for a high calibre Interim Regional Finance Director to cover in a business as usual role, as the incumbent has been promoted through the group. The desired candidate will have demonstrable client facing commercial exposure to bid/tender negotiation in a large contract led business. The successful applicant will partner closely with the current executive team, in particular with the MD, Sales, Operations and legal Directors. Although this particular role is likely to only be available for 6 to 9 months there is always opportunity within the wider group moving forward due to the nature and scale of the organisation.

Key areas of expertise for the Interim Commercial Head of Finance will include:

• A background in a blue-chip outsourcing/business services.
• Managing a number of contracts with combined revenue of circa £50MN.
• Experience of delivering contract solutions to local/central government.
• Full P&L ownership.
• Responsibility for managing small teams.
• Working with the wider business to maximises revenue opportunities.
• Partnering with key customer stakeholders to secure opportunities for new lines of business.
• Managing the budgeting & forecasting process.
• Closing down month end for your responsible region.
• Establishing the key areas of performance and service delivery targets.
• Definition and delivery of long-term financial objectives.
• Working closely with industry bodies, auditors and other external parties to ensure agreed contract delivery parameters are met and future business development potential is maximised within strict guidelines.
• Identification and development of areas for improvement in the use of resources across finance & commercial management.

The Candidate
The Interim Regional Finance Director we seek will be a qualified accountant, have a strong academic track record and commercial background. A genuine business partner, you will work to the highest standards of corporate governance to deliver and maintain the expected SLA's within a contract led environment. A formal accountancy qualification, with strong academics, will be highly-regarded, along with an ability to manage and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders. The successful individual will have experience in liaising directly with customers and other strategic partners.
