Trainee Accountant

My client is a Top 100 Accountancy Practice who is looking for a part or fully qualified Accountant to join their team. Having grown significantly over the years they hold a solid client base of OMB's, Limited Companies and Partnerships where they offer a strong service within Accounts Preparation, Bookkeeping, Audit, Taxation and Payroll services as well as Corporate Finance, Forensics and Advisory as specialist services.

Due to expansion they are looking for a Trainee Accountant to join a small team within the Accounts division. You will be working with a wide variety of clients up to a turnover of £200,000 and be trained in specialist areas alongside general accountancy work. The position comes with full study support and progression opportunities as you become more experienced.

Key elements of the role will include -

• Preparation of year end accounts for Limited companies, both FRS102a and FRS105.
• Preparation of Sole trader, partnership and LLP accounts.
• Completion of corporate, personal and partnership tax returns.
• Management accounts (experience would be advantageous).
• VAT return preparation and ad hoc book keeping.

You will be -

• Motivated and ambitious to provide an excellent service to your clients.
• Competent with systems such as Excel, Sage, Xero or similar Accountancy software.
• A minimum of 1 year experience in an Accountancy Practice
• Able to complete accounts up to trail balance, VAT returns and bookkeeping.
