A private-equity backed software technology business, based in London has a great opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a dynamic team. The company is achieving significant year-on-year growth, expanding across the UK & USA. 

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, duties include:

  • Responsible for UK and US accounting and financial reporting
  • Prepare timely & accurate Group monthly management accounts
  • Complete responsibility for day-to-day financial processes.
  • Monitor accounts receivable, credit control / working capital control
  • Work with New Business Directors & Relationship Directors to ensure they have sufficient commercial information to present commercial proposals and /or understand margins.
  • Spotting efficiency improvements and cost savings
  • Accuracy of sales invoicing and supplier payments
  • Maintenance of finance systems, including Sage
  • Lead on statutory accounts and help with R&D claim
  • Annual UK and US tax return
  • Accurate & timely budgeting, cash flow forecast, covenant review
  • Overall cash management on an ongoing basis
  • Management and administration of Company bank accounts
  • BACs payments
  • Group treasury management
  • FX management
  • Preparation of ad-hoc and regular finance reports
  • Timely processing of employee salaries and expense claims. Review and approval of US and UK payroll
  • Managing, reviewing and appraising the work of the Bookkeeper

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA / CA / ACCA
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent accounting software knowledge, ideally Sage
  • Knowledge of technology sector would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
