Capital Accountant

CY Executive Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Capital Accountant to join the team at an NHS Organisation in London.

The Capital Accountant will be responsible for maintaining and developing the fixed asset register to meet Trust and statutory requirements, enabling the accurate forecasting of capital charges, ensuring the integrity of the fixed asset register through asset verification and reconciliation to the general ledger, completing capital asset financial information for the monthly NHS Improvement returns, annual statutory accounts and other financial reports.

You will provide guidance, advice and support to managers in terms of managing capital resources efficiently and effectively to achieve the Trusts strategic aims, ensuring the Trusts capital control target is met at financial year end and advise on the VAT treatment of capital acquisitions ensuring proactive VAT planning on capital schemes.

The Successful Applicant must have relevant experience of the financial and capital accounting cycle and knowledge of the NHS capital accounting regime.
