Working alongside the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for delivering a number of the business critical processes within the finance function.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of quarterly covenant compliance reports.
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements for subsidiary entities.
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of the annual consolidated financial statements
  • Coordination of year end group audit file and liaise with auditors throughout the interim and year end audits to ensure completion in line with timetables.
  • Maintain, review, develop and document accounting policies.
  • Manage the daily and monthly cash flow forecasts; anticipating cash requirements and addressing any shortfalls.
  • Liaising successfully with third party auditors during statutory audits
  • Preparing the necessary accounting papers in support of technical reviews

The successful candidate will be a technically strong, qualified Financial Accountant (ACA or ACCA), with previous experience in a similar type of role and proven ability to work with and influence senior personnel. This role would suit someone looking for a first move out of practice. You must be an ambitious, driven and self motivated individual, with outstanding communication skills and the ability to improve efficiencies where required. Other prerequisites include:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Must be self-motivated, highly organised and accurate with strong attention to detail and be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to forge strong working relationship with senior members of the finance team
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
